Creating.

The tone of the farm is different at the moment.  It is winter, projects become more restorative, whereas the spring & summertime are all about sprinting to keep up.  John and I are using this breath to finish two creative projects.  I’m hard at work on the cookbook, which will be woven with images from the farm.  Filling my early mornings and late evenings with recipe tests and writing.

John, on the other hand, has been given a wonderful opportunity to do a Sacred Space piece about Apricot Lane Farms for Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN.)  The “director” John is a whole different husband that I’ve come to appreciate.  He becomes more meditative, introverted and when it really gets close to the edit, he hits a sort of “flow” that is hard to describe, but easy to recognize.  Don’t mess with that “flow.” That’s where the magic is.

Congrats to John, and wow, such beautiful photos! I could never capture a sunrise/sunset the right way. I respect those who can. ;)
