This season at Apricot Lane, we planted Blocks D, F and M. That means absolutely nothing to you! But around here, it’s big news. Over 30-acres of itty-bitty trees are soaking up their nutrients from our soils, and we’re happy to have them.
Seeing new trees fill up a formerly blank slate is incredibly rewarding and fun. The most recent addition is a block of Hass Avocados. We also planted avocados back in April, and I’m proud to say they are looking great. A farmer down the way planted some a few months before us, and ours have outgrown them! A little healthy avocado competition will never hurt anyone, right?
So many people have worked incredibly hard to realize these dreams. My thanks to Mike Mobley and the Progressive Land Management team for enabling this to happen. Mike, I’m forever grateful you felt challenged, not frustrated, by our out-of-the-box ways.
So, let’s celebrate with a new recipe! Quick and straight-forward, Sweet Skillet Shrimp is a favorite of ours at the end of a very busy day of farming. It’s also incredibly satisfying… kinda like planting trees!

Dad
Take it from me, Sweet Skillet Shrimp is a major winner. It’s great being in the kitchen with Molly. You get to taste her recipe tests and then eat the finished product.
Deliciously Organic
Wow! Congrats! I know you and John have been planning and working hard on this for months. Can’t wait to come see the progress!
Mom
I’m not even a real big shrimp fan and I lapped this stuff up! But watching all those new trees being planted was an even bigger treat. Great stuff is happening on Apricot Lane Farms. Just grateful to watch it all. Thanks John & Molly for sharing it all in so many ways. The pix and videos are wonderful.
