Hi Friends of Organic Spark & Apricot Lane Farms,
My talented husband, John Chester, created a beautiful short film about Apricot Lane Farms that will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network during her Emmy award winning show ‘Super Soul Sunday‘ this Sunday, March 24th. It’s filled with all sorts of adorable animals, fresh green grass, happy chickens and more!
If you’re reading this blog, chances are you might like to see the grass-fed farming message reach more folks, too. Therefore, we need your help! If you feel the urge, please update your Facebook status, tell your friends, set your DVRs, gather your family around the TV and enjoy!
‘Super Soul Sunday’ airs at 11am ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. However, DirecTV might pick up the East Coast feed and air at 8am on the WEst Coast. To be sure, you can tell by clicking on the channel finder on Oprah.com (link here: http://www.oprah.com/own/channel_finder.html) and typing in your provider and zip code.
If you don’t have OWN, no worries… there is also a LIVE simulcast available at Oprah.com.
Our short film will follow Oprah’s interview with author, Brene Brown, titled Oprah & Brene Brown: Living With A Whole Heart (pay attention here because 2 interviews with Brene are back-to-back, it’s after the second one). Stay tuned when they wrap the interview, our piece is featured in a segment known as ‘Sacred Spaces’.
And, this piece is only a preview of what’s to come. John’s signed on to do more short films about various happenings on the farm. Up next… Little Lamb: Birth to Fresh Green Grass.
Lots of love,
Molly

Last Sunday I taped Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday and received the unexpected ‘gift’ of a peek into Apricot Lane Farms. I have replayed it every morning since then. It speaks to me, inspires me, and stirs my passion. My husband and I have had a long time dream of having our own small hobby farm. However, that ‘path’ hasn’t found us yet…..and I agree with you, the path will find us when the time is right. Until then, I will savor your blogs and keep that hope alive. I’ve marked my calendar already to look for your cookbook next March….can’t wait. I have to tell you, I also have a ‘pretty line’ between my eyebrows (December blog)….I call it my ‘concentration mark’. Thanks for sharing your farm. :)

Congratulations! It was a wonderful video, great photography (I especially liked the shot where the chickens are running after you with the feed pail), and made me want to come and visit. Do you conduct tours?
Do you allow people to come out, help out, in ways that let them experience the farm and also contribute to your effort? Are you listed with the local grammar schools for tours? It all made me want to know more and also to support your efforts. Thank you for following your dreams and giving life to the life around you.

Hi Anne, Thanks for your interest. If you are interested in getting on our list for volunteering for “Garden Parties”, which are days we bring in volunteers to help in the garden, please email about it. Otherwise, we are still in permitting to be able to offer school tours. Someday!
