No fa-la-la’s.

Have we had enough cookies lately? I’m gonna go ahead and assume the answer is yes, actually YES. Respectfully, I decided not to drown you with red & green in this picture. No fa-la-la’s. No mistletoe. I went for a more year-round color scheme. That way, if the thought of another cookie repels you like a pair of like magnets, return in May and without feeling the need to share with Santa. However if you, like my husband, don’t mind a cookie, after a whole lot of cookies. Knock yourself out, cause these are good.
I learned something new last month at the Weston A. Price Conference. I learned that I’ve been sprouting my wheat unnecessarily long before dehydrating. While at the conference, I stopped by the To Your Health Sprouted Flour Co. booth and noticed the lack of tails on their sprouted berries. The owners were kind enough to walk me through their process, which includes arresting the sprouting process as soon as the little berries begin to sprout. Once the tippy tip of the sprout shows itself, you’re done. This handy technique saved the life of my current grain mill. I was thinking of tossing ‘er because I just couldn’t get the sprouted wheat to slide down the shoot without some serious coaxing, but when the tails aren’t a part of the picture, the berries mill with ease! I’ve updated my technique page; what a great tip!
If this isn’t the week where you’re interested in learning how to sprout your own wheat, I suggest ordering from To Your Health Sprouted Flour Co. They obviously know what they’re doing! But however you decide to get your hands on Sprouted Pastry Flour, you’ve got to try these cookies!

Love the new look and these cookies look fabulous! One of these days I'm going to sprout my flour! I'm making my own kombucha so I figure I'll be ready soon! :)

Thanks All!
Carrie – I haven't gotten around to Kombucha yet, but I have become addicted to the High Country brand. I think I am going to have to start making it soon. I'll be visiting your site! :)
